Aston Villa eye last minute move for Bolasie

According to Sky Sports News, Aston Villa are set to make a last minute move for Democratic Republic of Congo international Yannick Bolasie.
The Everton winger has been heavily linked with a loan move to EFL Championship club Middlesbrough over the past week after he was reportedly deemed surplus to Marco Silva’s plans for the 2018-19 season.
Bolasie, though, is reportedly holding talks with Villa boss Steve Bruce as the club attempt to hijack Boro’s move for the speedster.
The former Crystal Palace attacker cost the Toffees £25 million two years ago, but has struggled for game time on Merseyside largely due to injury. Bolasie missed most of last season after suffering a cruciate ligament rupture in a match against Manchester United back in December 2016.
Bolasie has featured 32 times for Everton, scoring two goals for the club across all competitions and despite being an exciting addition at the time, the arrival of Theo Walcott and Richarlison since has pushed him further down the pecking order.
Football League clubs are free to take players on loan from the Premier League or overseas teams until the end of the month, facilitating Boro and Villa’s pursuit of Bolasie.
Boro are eager to get the move done following the departure of Adama Traoré to Wolves.
