Zamalek head coach Christian Gross is looking forward to the start of the 2018/19 Arab Club Champions Cup.

The Egyptian Premier League giants are scheduled to face Kuwaiti side Qadsia in the round of 32 of the competition.

According to King Fut, Zamalek have finalised their preparations for the first leg against Qadsia on Saturday, with the second leg scheduled to take place on the 28th of September.

“Zamalek players are well prepared for this game, we respect our opponent but we are in the beginning of the season and anything can happen,” Gross said.

“I don’t know anything about Qadsia but we will play to win. We know that it is a strong side and made several signings, they are known for their physical presence which is the thing which will make the encounter tougher.”

“The Arab Club Champions Club is very important for us and includes several great teams from the Gulf and African area.”
