Atlético Madrid have maintained their perfect UEFA Super Cup record, beating city rivals Real Madrid 4-2 after extra time in Tallinn to claim the title for the third time overall.

Atlético, the only side to have won their opening three UEFA Super Cup appearances, have always entered the showpiece as UEFA Europa League winners, but beat the UEFA Champions League holders on all three appearances. Indeed, they are the only UEFA Europa League winners who have won the UEFA Super Cup since Zenit beat Manchester United in 2008.

AC Milan are out on their own with five wins apiece, with Madrid on four and Liverpool and Atlético one further back.
